SANGO EFCC Nabs Eight Suspected Internet Fraudsters

The eight suspects arrested by EFCC

The Financial and Monetary Crimes Fee, EFCC, Ibadan zonal workplace, on Thursday, March 28, 2019, arrested eight suspected web fraudsters at Olopomewa, Eleyele and Ajadi, Ologuneru areas of Ibadan, Oyo State.

EFCC operatives picked-up the suspects following a number of months of discreet intelligence follow-ups and rigorous investigations into the suspects’ alleged clandestine fraudulent actions of acquiring cash by false pretences from their victims inside the Ibadan axis of the South West zone of the nation.

The suspects who’re between 19 and 36 years of age are: Olawale Jamal Ajao, Ominiyi Babatunde, Oluwasanmi Oluwaseun, Akinyemi Toheeb, Olawale Joel, Tayo Yusuf, Yusuf Babatunde and Okolaba Emmanuel.

Telephones, laptops and a few paperwork have been recovered from the suspects.

The Head of Operations, DCDS Friday Ebelo, stated the suspects can be charged to courtroom as quickly as investigations are concluded.
