Nigerians commemorate the second memorial anniversary of #EndSARS.
It has been two years since the killing at the Lekki Toll Gate, which was committed by men of the Nigerian Army who opened fire on peaceful ENDSARS protesters in Lagos State, Nigeria.
The ENDSARS campaign generated weeks of protests and passionate demands from young Nigerians calling on the government to take action against police brutality in their country.
However, little has changed in the past two years to help improve either the nation’s bad governance or the interaction between innocent citizens and the police in Nigeria.
However, on Thursday, the second anniversary of the deaths of the ENDSARS protest victims, people will take a walk and drive past the Lekki toll gate in Lagos to celebrate and pay tribute to their memory. The peaceful demonstration will feature a number of famous Nigerians and businesspeople.
Keep checking back for updates on the anniversary.
