Singer Oxlade is being sued by a Nigerian girl for posting her video on the internet.
The young lady, whose name is John Blessing, filed a lawsuit in Lagos high court claiming criminal defamation, negligence, and invasion of privacy by the public release of a video Oxlade made with her.
The lawsuit claims Oxlade gave the girl an alcoholic drink when she visited him and made the video without her consent.
It also claims the singer couldn’t justify how the video got onto the internet after the victim reached out to him.
It was said that Blessing visited the 25-year-old afrobeat musician on February 2, 2019, at his home on 7th Avenue in Osapa, Willow Greens Estate, where the incident took place.
Oxlade, whose real name is IkuForiJimi OLAITAN ABDULRAHMAN, apologized to blessing and her family.
According to John Blessing Tamara, her family disowned her because of the viral video.
Information gathered by Mandy News is that Oxlade sent the video to his friend, who then publish it online.
The video was shared on Twitter, an American social media platform, on February 10, 2022.
