If you are one of those people searching Google for “how to get a police spy plate number in Nigeria,” I’m sorry to announce to you that it has been banned.
According to information obtained by MandyNews.com, several companies and financial organizations are using police spy number plates with the police’s approval, but they are being manipulated. As a result it was permanently banned by the authorities.
IGP Usman Alkali Baba, the Inspector-General of Police, has issued an absolute prohibition on any use of Police SPY vehicle number plates by car owners in all of the states that make up the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The IGP commented on the restriction by saying that it was important to stop anyone driving under the benefits of SPY police number plates from continuously disobeying traffic laws and regulations as well as other laws governing road use.
Police personnel and members of other security services who are assigned to VIPs who drive vehicles with SPY license plates are required, according to the Inspector General of Police, to ensure swift adherence to this order or face being detained for disobeying it.
The Assistant Inspectors General of Police (AIGs), who are in charge of the Commissioners of Police (CPs) in the 36 States of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory, have been instructed by the IGP to ensure that the orders are fully implemented.
The IGP expressly instructed the AIGs and CPs to make sure that all SPY license plates now in use be confiscated moving forward; however, the owners of such vehicles should not be arrested unless they are police officials or officers of other security services performing escort responsibilities.
The IGP did issue a warning, however, that when carrying out these tasks, officials must make sure that people’ rights and privileges are maintained in accordance with local laws and best practices around the world.
In order to reinforce our internal security, other security agencies and the general public are urged to work with the police in this respect.
