10,000 more prisoners are set to be pardoned in Iran in an effort to beat the deadly coronavirus that has infected 17,361 and killed 1,135 in the country.
Iranian leader as part of plans to beat the spread of the new virus that has killed over 1,100 people in Iran, the country has already released 85,000 prisoners on temporary leave.
Iran government said on Wednesday another 147 people had died from the coronavirus, the biggest 24-hour rise in fatalities since Iranian officials first acknowledged infections of the virus in mid-February.
