Nollywood actor Junior Pope has passed away. On April 10, he was involved in a river accident while boating with his crew on a lake in the eastern part of Nigeria.
The hopes and prayers for Junior Pope’s survival have come to a tragic end. The actor was confirmed dead by a doctor on Wednesday, April 10th, just a few hours after he was reported to have been involved in a boat accident on the Anam River in Anambra State.
This news comes just hours after several sources reported that a body had been found in the river. During a live broadcast on Instagram, movie producer Stanley revealed that when they discovered the body, the Nigerian movie industry had already taken him to the morgue. However, after their intervention, they took the body to a spiritual doctor who advised them to perform rituals at the river in an attempt to revive him.
Junior Pope Confirmed Dead
He was earlier declared dead after his colleagues in the industry stated that he drowned while filming at a location in Anam River, Anambra State. However, it was later reported that he was alive. Now, his death has been confirmed by a doctor.
This was after several attempts by movie producer Stanley, who took the then unconscious actor to the river to perform some rituals.
In a live Instagram video, Stanley stated that the doctor had finally declared Junior Pope dead. He wrote, ‘Jnr. Pope is finally gone.
