Mother Of Journalist, Kufre Carter Detained By DSS Protests As She’s Denied Access To Her Only Son

Mrs Agnes Akpan, the mother to Kufre Carter, the journalist detained by the SSS for criticising A’Ibom Health Commissioner, Dr. Dominic Ukpong.

She protested outside SSS office in Uyo on Thursday after she was denied access to her only son.

The journalist, Kufre Carter is still in custody for failing to meet the N3Million bail condition.

The question: are there not laid down processes for prosecuting such a person?
Why has he not been charged and why is the mother and family been denied access?
Why is he been kept longer than our laws prescribe?
