Alpha Jet Gunned Down By Boko Haram Is ‘Fake News’ – NAF

BORNO (Mandy News) Boko Haram, a terrorist organization based in northern Nigeria, has claimed responsibility on Friday for the Nigeria Alpha Jet crash, in a statement issued to the media along with a picture and video purporting to show the dead pilots.

The Nigeria Alpha Jet light attack aircraft was shot down by a 9K32 Strela Man-Portable Air Defence System (MANPADS) missile fired by Boko Haram Wednesday. Two pilots were killed.

Recall the jet had gone missing Borno state for the past 72 hours according to the radar on screen.

The picture and video, released showed a bearded man identified as Abubakar Shekau-led faction of Boko Haram, Jama’atu Ahlussunnah Lidda’awati Wal Jihad.

The video sighted by Mandy News showed the deadly fighters carrying RPG & artillery equipment, as well as a corpse of the pilot & the aircraft’s debris.
