A shooting at a gay bar in Oslo, Norway’s capital, left two people dead and several others hurt.
According to the Norwegian newspaper “Aftenposten,” the health service is currently treating at least ten people, three of whom have critical injuries.
The London Pub, a well-known gay bar and nightclub in the city’s center, is where the shootings took place, according to the public news network NRK and other Norwegian media sites.
According to NRK reporter Olav Roenneberg, he witnessed a man approach with a backpack, grab a gun, and begin shooting.
Helicopters swooped above the scene while ambulances flocked to the area. The university hospital was the cause of the red alert.
Norway was the scene of the crime, which happened in the early hours of June 25. It was planned for the city to have an LGBTQIA+ pride parade on that day.
According to authorities, a suspect was apprehended close to the incident. What motivated the crime is still a mystery.
Police posted a statement on a social media platform confirming the deaths.
