Some police officers from Davi Umahi’s governing state opened fire on some Obidients during the Peter Obi one million match in Ebonyi.
One of the states in Southeast Nigeria is Ebonyi, where Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, has thousands of followers.
MandyNews.com was able to obtain a video footage that appeared to show hundreds of demonstrators fleeing while gunshots could be heard in the distance.
It happened at the Pastoral Centre Chaplaincy in Abakiliki on Saturday, Mandy News was reliably informed.
“We are actively attempting to carry out our Obi movement in Ebonyi State, but Dave Umahi gave the Nigerian police orders to pursue us, shooting us with live ammunition and using tear gas,” an eyewitness stated.
At the time that this report was filed, the state police had not yet issued a statement.
On several of the clips, young people can be heard complaining about how the policemen are obstructing their movement.
