Rivers State Police have announced the arrest of a 17-year-old individual in connection with an illegal baby factory operation.

The Rivers State Police Command has made a significant arrest in their ongoing efforts to combat illegal baby factory operations.

17-year-old Noble Uzuchi and his accomplice, 29-year-old Chigozie Ogbonna, were apprehended for their alleged involvement in a baby factory where multiple pregnancies were reported.

In addition to Uzuchi and Ogbonna, the police also made arrests of two other individuals, 30-year-old Favour Bright and 40-year-old Peace Alikoi, in connection to the alleged illegal baby factory operation.

The arrests were announced by Grace Iringe-Koko, the Public Relations Officer for the Rivers Police. She stated that the four suspects had been operating in the Obio/Akpor and Ikwerre local government areas of the state.

The suspects were apprehended following a tip-off, and as a result, 10 pregnant women were successfully rescued, reported Iringe-Koko.

According to the police, the individuals were arrested at a location where young women were being held against their will and forced to carry out pregnancies for the purpose of selling the babies. The police were able to rescue several victims and are currently investigating the full extent of the operation.

This is a serious issue and a reminder of the ongoing efforts to combat illegal activities such as baby factories in Nigeria. These operations are illegal and often involve the exploitation of vulnerable individuals. The police have stated that they are committed to bringing those involved to justice and shutting down these operations.

It is important for society to take a stand against the exploitation of vulnerable individuals and work towards a safer and more just society for all. The public is encouraged to report any suspicious activity or information related to baby factories to the authorities.

This is a developing story and we will continue to update with more information as it becomes available.
