The video of two children finding two pythons coiled on the ceiling in Chamang Baru, Bentong, Malaysia, has gone viral, capturing the attention of millions worldwide. The incident, which occurred on a Sunday morning, has left the two children, as well as their father, traumatized.

Som Mohamad Salleh, the father of the two children, admitted that he could still imagine the glimpse of the two reptiles on the ceiling of his daughter’s room, Norshahira Zakaria, 26. He explained that on Saturday night at 4 o’clock in the morning, he heard a noise in the ceiling but did not think much of it. He ignored the sound and continued to sleep.

The next morning, Som’s son complained about the ceiling in his room being cracked and the sheets covered in sand. At that time, Som was alone with his child. His son had woken up and noticed that the ceiling had a little crack. “But I don’t see the snake anymore.” After that, my son sat in my room at 3 o’clock in the afternoon. “He didn’t sit in his room because he had cleaned and washed all the sheets,” said Som.

While they were talking, there was a loud sound of the ceiling collapsing in his son’s room. “I then woke up and closed the door curtain and saw that the ceiling was rattling. when I look up. Subhanallah, Oh God, Oh God. The big snake Shut the door straight away. I invite my son to run out straight away. “Call the Malaysian Civil Defense Department (JPAM) for help,” explained the hospital retiree.

The single mother, who resides in the same house as the two children, did not think at all that it was not a python coiling on the ceiling of her son’s room. When JPAM (the Malaysian Civil Defense Department) arrived, they tried to pull the python, but it was difficult. When they had to break the ceiling of Som’s house, they found another python coiled on the ceiling.

It is understood that the two reptiles weighed 32 kilograms with a length of about five meters, and another one weighed 25 kilograms with a length of over four meters. The fact that the pythons were discovered coiled on the ceiling of a home in a residential area has left the community in shock.

Bentong District Civil Defense Officer, Lieutenant (PA) Azizah Husain, confirmed that a total of four members rushed to the scene of the incident and found the two reptiles. Although one python managed to escape through an opening in the ceiling of Som’s house, it was later caught. The incident has served as a reminder to residents of the area to remain vigilant and cautious of their surroundings.

The discovery of the pythons on the ceiling of a house has raised questions about the possibility of more snakes hiding in other homes. According to experts, pythons are known to be attracted to residential areas due to the availability of food sources such as rats, squirrels, and other small animals.

The incident has also sparked a discussion on the need for more education and awareness programs on how to respond to the presence of snakes in residential areas. This incident highlights the importance of staying vigilant, as snakes can pose a significant threat to humans.

Som’s son now has a fever due to shock and is still traumatized by the incident. However, the family is grateful that God protected them from becoming victims of the snakes. Som added that he is relieved that the incident did not result in any injuries or fatalities.
