The governor of Nigeria’s Anambra state has announced an emergency curfew from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. to stop unknown gunmen from killing people in the state.
Suspected terrorists in Anambra State, Nigeria, reportedly killed two Politicians, a pregnant woman, and her children, as well as a truck driver and a meat seller.
Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo has a personal connection to one of the politicians assassinated by terrorists.
He had promised to fight back until the terrorists would no longer exist in his state.
The governor said on Wednesday that the curfew applies to eight major local governments in the state.
According to the governor, until further notice, all Okadas, tricycles, and shuttle buses in the LGAs of Aguta, Ihala, Ekwusigo, Nnewi North, Nnewi South, Ogbaru, Orumba North, and Orumba South are officially banned. curfew effective from tomorrow 26th May, 2022.
He claimed that the curfew will begin tomorrow, May 26th, 2022.
