Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reacted to the news that Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has declared his candidacy for President of Nigeria in 2023.

A few hours after Osinbajo announced his candidacy for president in 2023, the 70-year-old statesman held an emergency meeting with 17 governors in Abuja.

Following a meeting with governors, the presidential hopeful for 2023 had a press interview.

When pressed about his comments regarding his political “son” declaring for the presidency, he said, “I have no son grown enough to declare.”

Yemi Osinbajo, who was the Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice of Lagos State during the eight-year reign of Tinubu as governor of the state, declared on Monday morning for the office of presidency.

Many of Tinubu’s supporters regard his declaration as disloyalty. They have resorted to Twitter to express their displeasure.

The 17 governors can be seen looking worried out in viral images from Tinubu’s meeting in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
