Sophia Rosing, a student from the UK, was arrested in relation to a verbal and physical assault against another student that was motivated by race.
She is studying at the University of Kentucky.
The incident was recorded on video, and it has since gained widespread popularity.
The n-word appears more than 200 times throughout the entire 10-minute video, which features the student.
According to information obtained by Mandy News, the arrest was made by UK Police at Boyd Hall on the university’s campus.
At about 3:50 a.m. on Sunday, Sophia Rose was taken into custody at the Fayette County Detention Facility.
She was accused of disruptive behavior, being drunk in public, fourth-degree assault, and third-degree assault on a police officer. $10,000 was imposed as her bail.
The now-viral footage shows Kylah Spring, a student of Kentucky University, being attacked by Rosing.
Kylah Spring first shared the video on the social media platform TikTok. Although it was then removed, it was afterwards uploaded to other social media platforms.
The event happened early on Sunday morning while the Kylah was working an overnight shift at Boyd Hall’s front desk.
