Whatsapp introduces new features that allow you to message yourself.
The instant messaging service owned by Mark Zuckerberg just unveiled a new function that lets users message themselves.
Message Yourself is the name of the brand-new feature, which will formally launch soon. Users can communicate with their accounts using this feature.
For communications like to-do lists, reminders, or draft messages that will be sent later, this will be helpful. According to WhatsApp, the function will be made available to users of Android and iOS in the upcoming weeks.
You can pin and archive the self-chat as well.
How To Message Yourself On Whatsapp
The Mata-owned company claims that when users start a new chat on WhatsApp, their contact will be displayed at the top of the contacts list. They can utilize the chat screen to communicate with themselves by tapping that contact to access it.
What To Know
To use this feature, open WhatsApp and start a new chat. Your contact will be listed at the top of the chat window; simply click on their name to initiate a message to yourself. When the app is updated from the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store after launch, it will reflect on the application.
Although WhatsApp just added the ability to message oneself, some users have been employing a workaround for some time. The software already had a “click to talk” feature that allowed you to communicate with yourself.
However, the new service eliminates the extra steps users previously had to take in order to self-chat using the wa.me URL.
Other companies, including Microsoft Teams and Signal, a competitor of WhatsApp, also offer this feature.
A similar tool called Saved Conversations is also available in Telegram, allowing users to bookmark any messages that are particularly crucial as well as store notes and reminders that can be accessed later.
