Yemi Osinbajo, the vice president of Nigeria, has been excluded from Bola Tinubu’s presidential campaign team for the 2023 election. Tinubu is the presidential candidate for the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
Tinubu chose to recruit Mohammadu Buhari, the president of Nigeria, to head his campaign, according to the breakdown of appointees for the APC Presidential Campaign Council that MandyNews.com saw on Saturday.
The document, which was made public on September 23 and was signed by James Abiodun Faleke, the campaign council’s secretary for Tinubu and Shettima, states:
- “We are pleased to announce the nominees of the leadership of the presidential campaign council, as per enclosed.
- All nominees are kindly advised to pick their appointment letters from the undersigned on Monday, September 26, 2021….all other members will be contacted by the leaders of their respective directorates.”
Yemi Osinbajo, one of Tinubu’s fellow presidential aspirants in the June election, was left off the list when Mandy News checked the list, which has 422 names.
Nevertheless, MandyNews.com’s research indicates that the vice president is not the only party member who was not listed on the list.
According to the first unconfirmed allegation, the Muslim Muslim ticket caused Osinbajo and others to leave the Tinubu Campaign Council.
According to verified information obtained by Mandy News, President Buhari requested that the APC campaign council omit the names of Vice President Osinbajo and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha.
Why?
The source claims that occasionally, the two men will fill in for Buhari, who will be busy serving as the campaign chairman from October until February 2023.
