Onadipe, an advocate for internet safety, advises users not to post or share any trending pornographic material online.
Mr. Rotimi Onadipe, the founder of internet safety magazine, has advised internet users not to post or share any trending indecent video or picture online in order to protect young children from becoming victims of m*st*rb*tion, p*rn*graphy, cybers*x or or*l s*x addiction, r*pe, and other forms of internet abuse.
He made the statement at his organization’s weekly internet safety session in Ibadan, which had the topic “Say NO to internet abuse, Say YES to internet safety.”
Onadipe remarked in this week’s edition, published on Saturday, May 7th, 2022:
“We are in the technology age and easy access to the internet has made viewing p*rn*graphy an addictive behavior for most internet users, particularly young children.”
“The internet is now a major source of all kinds of p*rn*graphic materials that have polluted the minds of innocent children and made many of them addicted to m*st*rbation, online p*rn*graphy, and cybers*x. “
“We must be mindful of what we post or share on the internet.
Let’s not forget that easy access to pornographic materials on the internet increases s*xual urges, s*xual abuse, and even r*pe in society.
Early exposure to online p*rn*graphy has also destroyed the lives of many innocent children.
Many children are still battling with academic, emotional, psychological, and other health problems as a result of their exposure to unhealthy content they found on the internet,” the internet safety advocate said.
“Please don’t let us worsen the situation.” If you see any trending pornographic video or picture on your phone, don’t post or share it but delete it immediately. And if you see anyone posting or sharing such dangerous content online, advise them to delete it,” he added.
