According to Wizkid Source in a tweet on Sunday, October 10, 2021, Wizkid’s “Made In Lagos” broke his own record for the first Afrobeats Album to hit the 1 billion global streams under a year of release. Sharing an image in mp4 format, the caption reads, “@wizkidayo’s #MadeinLagos has surpassed 1 BILLION streams in under a year! Thank you Wizkid FC!”

The afrobeat giant’s “Made In Lagos” generated over 1 billion global track streams during its inaugural 49 weeks of release. The source adds that global consumption accounts came from Apple, Spotify, YouTube, Audiomack, Boomplay and Pandora.
