ABIA, Nigeria — The joint operation of the Nigerian Army and police on Wednesday ambushed IPOB’s Eastern Security Network Operatives in the southeastern part of Nigeria, killing 16 Service Members.

The Nigerian Army and Police had deployed combat helicopters, gun trucks, and soldiers to search some forests in the South-East states where the ESN was said to be camping. SaharaReporters said.

Getting to the forest hundreds of security operatives launched a heavy attack on the camp killing about 16 of them and injuring many.

Mandy News gathered the military and police deployment was in response to several attacks against law enforcement in the South-East.

Dozens of police officers were said to have been killed in the East by unknown gunmen in the last three months.
