The suspended deputy commissioner of police, Abba Kyari, cannot be extradited to the United States, where he pleaded guilty to charges of fraud through money laundering in connection with Hushpuppi, the NDLEA has said.
The Borno-born police officer was said to be extradited to the United States following an application filed on Wednesday by the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF).

The Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) took to social media to remind people that the country’s most celebrated police officer, 46, will not be extradited.
Please note that the charges against Abba Kyari and 6 others were filed by ndlea nigeria since Monday 28th February 2022, the case since assigned to a judge with arraignment fixed for Monday 7th March at FHC 8 Abuja, the commission said.

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) filed an eight-count charge against the suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari, for dealing in 17.55 kilograms of cocaine.
