Who made more money from shows in 2022: Burna Boy, Wizkid, or Davido?

Anytime the three African music industry behemoths start trending on Twitter, I see a lot of people asking this question.

I also see people who type keywords like Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy who is the richest? or just maybe Wizkid and Burna Boy who is the richest?

Without making use of the search engine, everyone knows that Davido is the richest musician in Africa. But this article is not about that.

There’s a difference between the richest musician, the highest paid musician, the best musician, and the highest grossing musician.

So this article is about the highest-grossing musician in 2022.

I saw many people fighting on Twitter because of an article which says that Burna Boy earned a whopping $8.3 million from his Madison Square Garden debut concert.

So because I want some people to understand that Burna Boy is the king of show business in 2022, I decided to write this piece.

Don’t insult me. I like to poke my nose into celebrities’ businesses. That’s what the modern system of the internet has turned us into.

Before we proceed, if you are on Twitter, kindly follow me here. Before you follow me, take note that I post a lot.

I know you’re not happy with the headline of this piece, which reads, “Burna Boy Has Made More Money From 2022 Shows Than Wizkid And Davido.”

Yes, I realize it’s not pleasant, but they’re the most well-known celebrities in the world, so whatever they do makes the news.

It also generates material for internet publishers like us, which is how we make money. That’s why you have so many Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy comparison articles online.

“Na me dey give them life,” Davido said. Yes, he is very right. Without him, some people will stop blogging.

Anyway, we are done with all that. For now, I want to ask you a quick question:

Have you ever asked this question? Burna Boy, Wizkid and Davido who is the highest grossing musician in 2022?

If you said “yes,” then come let me answer your question.

Who Is The Highest Paid Musician In Africa 2022?

Burna Boy, who is a friend to Wizkid and Davido, recently revealed to the world that he is the highest paid musician in Africa as of 2022.

  • Burna Boy: $1.5 Million
  • Wizkid: $1 Million
  • Davido: $500 – $1 million

Burna Boy has been an incredible talent who has taken the world by storm since the release of his single Ye in 2018.

However, it was after the release of his fourth studio album, “African Giant,” that he became a household name.

In 2020, he released his fifth studio album, Twice as Tall

Twice as Tall was a huge success reaching number one on the Billboard World Album Chart.

Twice as Tall won Best Global Music Album at the 63rd Grammy Awards ceremony.

His real name is Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, born in the year 1991 on July 2nd.

So far, Burna has released five (5) studio albums and they are:

  1. Life
  2. On a Spaceship
  3. Outside
  4. African Giant
  5. Twice as Tall

So how is Burna Boy the highest-grossing musician in 2022? Burna has toured more countries and sold out more shows than any musician this year.

He also makes money from his music albums, as well as YouTube.

But he’s not the richest musician; he’s currently the highest-paid and highest-grossing musician.
