After being detained for the mass stabbing in Canada that left 10 people dead, the second suspect passed away.
His self-inflicted wounds caused his death.
Canada Mass Stabbing Suspects
Local police stated on September 7 that the two suspects who attacked and killed 10 persons with knives on a Canadian Indian reservation on September 4 have died.
Myles Sanderson, 30, was arrested in Rosthern, Saskatchewan, on Wednesday. According to Canadian police, he passed away “shortly after.” On Monday, September 5, the body of the elder brother, Damien, was discovered.
Following multiple investigations, the Canadian police have informed the public that the case is no longer in danger.
“There is no further risk to public safety related to this investigation,” said a Canadian police officer.
Rhonda Blackmore, an assistant police commissioner, claimed that Myles was stopped while driving a stolen vehicle until he was made to park. Blackmore claims that shortly after, the man had “medical problems” and was transported to the hospital, where he was later declared dead.
In addition to the 10 fatalities, 18 additional people suffered injuries. In a nation without previous outbreaks of widespread violence, this incident ranks among the most brutal ones.
Police say that although some of the deaths may have been the brothers’ intended targets, other persons may have died simply because the brothers came across them.
The brothers’ motives for committing the acts are yet unknown.
