EFCC Arrests Babachir Lawal, Pleads Not Guilty
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) yesterday arrested the instantaneous-past Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir Lawal.
Lawal was sacked through President Muhammadu Buhari in October 2017 primarily based on the advice of a Presidential Investigation Panel headed through Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo.
The EFCC had filed a ten-be counted rate bordering on conspiracy and fraud in opposition to him and Hamidu David Lawal, Suleiman Abubakar and two corporations, Rholavision Engineering Ltd and Josmon Technologies Ltd.
However, the previous Secretary has pleaded now not guilty to the fraud expenses delivered towards him by using the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
He pleaded now not responsible to the fees at the Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday.
