The All Progressives Congress governor in Ekiti state, Fayemi has had his victory upheld by the Supreme Courtroom.
The Supreme Courtroom has upheld the election of Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State.
In a unanimous judgment, the five-man panel, held on Wednesday that the attraction by Segun Oni, was statute barred.
Justice Amiru Sanusi, within the lead judgment, held that the case, being a pre-election one, was not commenced on the trial courtroom, throughout the required time, as stipulated beneath the Forth Alteration Act.
Oni, an ex-Governor of Ekiti State had appealed the judgment of the Courtroom of Attraction, which upheld the choice of a Federal Excessive Courtroom, to the impact that his (Oni’s) problem of Fayemi’s eligibility to contest the final governorship election within the state, was with out advantage.
