Seven people, including three policemen, were purportedly killed when gunmen ambushed Apostle Johnson Suleman’s vehicle on Friday along the Benin Auchi Road in Edo State.
Suleman, according to the information obtained by MANDY NEWS, was returning from an overseas trip and traveling through Edo State when gunmen ambushed his convoy near the Auchi region of the state.
Three of his police orderlies and four more, unidentified people are said to have died when the attackers opened fire on his convoy during the operation.
The preacher had recently returned from a seminar in Tanzania, according to Suleman’s attorney Samuel Amune, who verified the incident to the PUNCH News reporter. Amune also added that the clergyman narrowly avoided death.
The attack took place during the day, according to security expert Dickson Osajie, who criticized the state’s lack of security.
