Lagos – Aloba Promise Oladimeji, popularly known as Mohbad, had sent a desperate plea to the police, alleging threats to his life and damage to property, just days before his untimely death.

Mohbad, in his petition, detailed a harrowing incident that took place during a video shoot with fellow artist, Zlatan Ibile.
He described an invasion by a group of about fifteen individuals, allegedly led by Samlarry Elegushi. The group, armed with weapons, disrupted the shoot, causing significant damage to equipment and allegedly assaulting Mohbad.
“They… scattered the whole process of the shooting, damaged the equipment… and started threatening my life.” – Mohbad’s words from the petition.
The damages incurred during this invasion amounted to a significant Eight Million Naira (N8,000,000), a sum that Mohbad highlighted as non-refundable.
Furthermore, the musician pointed out that during the altercation, the group boasted of their association with Oba Elegushi. The reasons for their actions, according to Mohbad, remained unclear, but the threats to his life persisted.
The police, upon receiving the petition, initiated an investigation. However, updates on the progress of this investigation remain awaited.
