Nigeria Police Suspend Senior Officer Implicated In Fraud

ABUJA (MANDYNEWS) — Nigerian police said Sunday that an officer, Abba Kyari involved in bribery with Hushpuppi was suspended pending an investigation.

The deputy Commissioner of Police and Head, Intelligence Response Team (IRT) of the Nigeria Police Force, Abba Kyari was suspended over the charge by the FBI.

According to the list released by the FBI, Mr. Kyari was among six suspects indicted in an international fraud conspiracy.

Ramon Abbas, an Instagram star, generously known as Hushpuppi was said to have committed the fraud.

In a statement released by the FBI and a chat sighted by Mandy News, Hush, who is currently standing trial in the United States, had sent money to the DCP Kyari to help track down one of his foes.

Abba Kyari who previously denied the allegations was suspended on Saturday the 31st of July.

“Abba Kyari’s suspension took effect from Saturday, July 31st, 2021 and would subsist pending the outcome of the investigation in respect of his indictment by the Federal Bureau of Investigation of the United States,” Ikechukwu Ani, spokesman of the Police Service Commission said.
