Nigeria, Edo State – A shocking kidnapping incident occurred on Tuesday evening, 2 May, as gunmen abducted over 12 people on Afuze-Ihievbe road in Edo State, Nigeria.

MandyNews.com has obtained a viral video in which a man from Owan East, Edo State, can be heard narrating the harrowing ordeal.

According to the Edo Owan-born man, occupants of three vehicles parked at the roadside were targeted by the armed kidnappers. The vehicles involved in the incident were:

  1. First Vehicle: A Mercedes Benz ML 320, which had an unknown number of occupants. The man said he wasn’t sure how many people were inside, but the owner was among those kidnapped.
  2. Second Vehicle: The driver and passengers of this vehicle managed to escape the kidnapping attack unharmed.
  3. Third Vehicle: A Sienna, which was reportedly damaged by gunshots at the rear. The source revealed that all passengers were kidnapped except for a woman who managed to escape. Tragically, her 9-year-old daughter was among the abducted.

In total, it was gathered that 10 passengers and the Sienna’s driver were kidnapped. The mother of the 9-year-old girl was the sole escapee from that vehicle.

While the man was narrating the story in the now-viral video, MandyNews.com heard the sound of multiple gunshots in the background, likely from people who were scared to travel the route.
