Nigeria’s Port Harcourt state outlaw prostitution after its governor warned it’s ‘harmful’ to children and society.
Speaking to the citizens of the state at the Government House in Old GRA, Rivers, Wike Nyesom said the ban will stop the “destructive effects”.
The ban will affect nightclub activities including nighttime trading and street prostitution particularly along Abacha road and surrounding streets, especially in the Casablanca area.

According to Wike, the move will “Stop the harmful effects of this depraved activities on the moral development of the children and society at large.”
But the governor has stated how long the ban will last.
