A distressing broadcast from a Twitter user who was kidnapped with 16 others, including three pregnant women and two small children, has gone viral and made netizens sad.
On Tuesday, the day after all working Nigerians returned from their Democracy Day vacation, a young girl used the popular microblogging app Twitter to send a distress message.
The youngster is known on Twitter as Ameerah Sufyan, and according to her post, she and 16 others, including three pregnant women and two small children, were kidnapped in Abuja at gunpoint by police officers.
“Please whoever has my WhatsApp number I sent a broadcast message of my location, we were abducted at gun point by ppl with police uniforms and a van from our houses from different parts of abuja, we’re 17 including 3 pregnant women and two little kids, they didn’t see my phone,” Ameerah Sufyan wrote on Twitter.
In a follow-up tweet, Ameerah Sufyan stated that the people who kidnapped them are Yoruba and Fulani.
“They’re 4 yoruba and two fulani men,” she said.
According to her, the kidnappers separated them into two groups, stating that both vehicles were headed to Kwara and Oyo states in south west Nigeria.
“They divided us up an hour ago we’re 7 here The other vehicle they said they will reach illorin and ours will reach ibadan or ikeja as they said,” Ameerah added
As a result, several good Samaritans on Twitter who followed the location she supplied over WhatsApp reported it was Government Science School Kuru in Jos South, between Riyom Local Government and Barkin Ladi.

Earlier this morning, at 6:20 a.m., Ameerah Sufyan sent a strange message to her friends on Whatsapp.
In the now-viral broadcast, it appears she was trying to divulge her whereabouts and car color to the public for the purposes of investigation.
