And while some fans are still celebrating Wizkid’s status as the first Nigerian artist to headline an event in the United States, others are wondering just how much Dreamville festival organizers paid the “Essence” singer for the big show.

One of Wizkid’s ardent fans even alleged on Twitter that the singer was paid $700 million. That’s a substantial cap.

According to research, the top five most expensive artists to book are Beyonce, Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, and Maroon 5, with an estimated rate of $1 million-plus per performance.

Wizkid and the rest of J. Cole’s dreamville festival 2022 headliners aren’t getting paid nearly as much as you may think.

How much was Wizkid paid in dreamville festival 2022?

The answer? You think $700 million.

That’s a big joke.

Lil Baby will be one of the musicians performing at the Dreamville Festival in 2022, and he charges $400k per show.

The festival’s total economic impact in 2019 was above $4 million.

The Dreamville festival did not respond to MONEY’s request for information on Wizkid’s pay, but a close source has stated that Wizkid costs $250,000 per show.

In any case, he’s still richer than me.

This post was intended solely to dispel the rumor that Wizkid was paid $700 million in a viral tweet.

J. Cole It’s unlikely to pay him more than $150,000. That’s one of the reasons the show is on the same date as the Grammy awards.
