Ifeanyi Ubah narrowly avoided death on Sunday night as unidentified gunmen shot at his car on Enugu Ukwu Road in the Njikoka local government area of the state.
When the attack occurred, the senator, 51, who represents the Anambra South Senatorial District, was traveling through the Enugwu Ukwu junction. Social media is flooded with pictures and videos from the shooting.
The incident resulted in the deaths of no fewer than six police officers who were aiding the senator.
According to information gathered by MandyNews.com and made public by Mr. Kameh Ogbonna, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah’s media assistant, the senator might not be alive today if it weren’t for his bulletproof SUV.
Additionally, footage of the incident’s aftermath in Enugwu are being posted online by citizens from the attack site.
According to Ogbonna, this is an attack on Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, the senator who represents the Anambra South Senatorial District.
“They hit us front and rear from all sides as we passed Enugwu Ukwu junction,” he claimed. “As I speak with you, Obum, the Special Aid to the Senator, is dead and approximately seven security personnel were struck by the assassins gunfire and they may have died.”
