Video Of ISWAP Attack On Kuje Prison Goes Viral

The video of the ISWAP attack on Kuje Prison has gone viral.

The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), which confirmed the attack on Wednesday, claimed that gunmen attacked the Kuje Medium Security Custodial Center in Abuja on Tuesday night with explosives.

The Nigerian President’s convoy was ambushed in Katsina that same day by armed men.

However, on Wednesday night, President Muhammadu Buhari visited the Kuje prison, the scene of the tragedy, and lambasted the intelligence apparatus.

In response, the Islamic State in West Africa Province (ISWAP) has released a video and claimed responsibility for the attack in a latest report.

The information indicating that the attack on Kuje Prison in Abuja was carried out by the Islamic State in West Africa Province (ISWAP) was initially released by Daily Trust.

On Tuesday, the initial widely circulated news was that armed intruders had broken into the prison and freed around 800 prisoners, including notable suspects.

The terrorist group can be seen shooting its way into the building in the now-viral video that was released on Wednesday night.

The 28-second video, which MandyNews.com discovered on Twitter, showed dozens of terrorists marching in formation while buildings and cars caught fire.

The cruel attackers can be heard yelling “Allahu Akbar,” which is Arabic for “God is greatest,” at the top of their lungs.

The video was uploaded by the Islamic State’s A’maq Agency with the caption: “Islamic State fighters raided Kuje jail in Abuja yesterday and succeeded in liberating hundreds of captives.”
