Pistorius was initially handed a six-year sentence in 2016 for manslaughter, a decision that didn’t sit well with the prosecution and led to an appeal. Now, as he steps back into the world, he’s not completely free of the system. He’s got to keep up with anger management therapy and attend sessions about gender-based violence. Plus, he’s under watch by an officer until his sentence ends in 2029.
